Our licensed Landscape Architects are well versed in every stage of design, from master planning and conceptual design, though final construction documentation, permitting, and construction observation.
We specialize in projects that involve sensitive and highly valued natural resources. Often, these include damaged areas with reduced ecological function. We develop plans that balance the restoration of these functions with recreation, development, and community goals.
We develop master plans that are made to be used to build projects, not sit on shelves. Our Master Plans include project specifics, project prioritization, cost estimates, funding strategies, and funding partnership assistance.
Our staff lead the industry when it comes to 3D modeling, rendering, animations, and visualization. Whether architecture, landscape architecture, site modeling, topography studies, transportation, or development, we can bring cutting edge graphics to your project.
Our visualization services are used at all stages of design projects, from early concept studies, to detailed design, to final presentation and fundraising graphics.

At Chinook, we use drones/UAVs to support our unique projects. We can capture and process photos, videos, and full 3D topographic terrain and convert this for use in a variety of softwares/professions such as 3D modeling, visualization, geotechnical analysis, slope/grading analysis, inspection, and conceptual design.
Teaching and Presenting
Chinook's founder, Jon Altschuld, frequently presents and teaches at universities, conventions, industry events, and firms looking to improve their skillsets. Topics typically focus on the use of emerging technology in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries, and range from a couple of hours to multi-day workshops.
