Following the Trinidad Trails and Greenways Master Plan, Jon Altschuld led the team that designed the Old Sopris Trail - Boulevard addition to full construction documents. This trail includes hard surface and soft surface trails, and carefully navigates sensitive bosque habitat. In order to minimize impacts to this ecosystem, Jon collected drone imagery of the entire 50+ acre site and GPS tracked existing foot trails. This resulted in a basemap for design, and included high resolution imagery, as well as digital elevation information that traditional surveys could not pick up through the heavy vegetation.
