While working for a previous employer, Jon Altschuld was the project manager for the Downtown Master Plan for the Town of McCall, Idaho. The Plan developed the vision to guide McCall through their transformation from an industrial logging town to a resort town focused on summer recreation on Payette Lake and winter recreation in the surrounding mountains. The project included extensive public outreach/facilitation, as well as a focus on economic development incentives and downtown aesthetics.

This project won both the Idaho Chapter APA Outstanding Plan Award, and the Best Plan Award by Idaho Smart Growth.
