Chinook Landscape Architecture flew tight and narrow canyons along US50 between Montrose and Gunnison to collect and process 3D data of the rockfaces. This data is being used to facilitate the design of geohazard mitigation as the highway is straightened out for safety measures. The project required careful manual piloting of drones with traffic closures in order to capture the entire rockfaces.
